Right, Ive just changed my hardware from my old case to my even older case as this one has more room :)

Its a thermaltake one from years ago I bought for some odd reason!

Just installed TT120 over a Q6600 & 8800GTS

With overclocking in mind and using air only I wanted to know what would be the best setup for fans in this case.
Drew a diagram to explain it easier :)

All of the fans can be turned around easily so which way would be the most efficient at keeping my cpu + graphics card cool? Also does the 120mm fan at the top right do anything?
I can also put an 80mm fan opposite the 8800GTS, below the other 80mm fan on the front of the case if that would help

Thanks

Definetly turn that PSU fan around, both of them. Otherwise you're blowing whatever comes out the back of the computer back into the machine, heating it up again, then blowing it over the CPU. That 120mm also will do barely anything, remove it and put a 80mm as mentioned down next to the 8800 GTS.

The PSU fan is inside the PSU so not sure if I can turn that around ?

I'm getting a Corsair 520W next week so Im not sure which way the fan on that will work?

edit:

The PSU fan might be the opposite way around, will turn the computer on to see!

yeah the PSU fan is the other way around, will amend picture and upload new one!

Oh forgot to mention. Between the TT120 and 8800 there is a porthole for an 80mm fan on the side of the case, would putting one there benefit at all?

Nah wouldn't be worth the noise, whatever air coming off the 8800 probably won't even hit the CPU and the 80mm fans next to the CPU will suck it out before it can heat anything up. New layout looks nice though, probably the optimal for your case :)
