Hello,

So, I installed my i7/Gigabyte UD-5 and all it's assorted bits yesterday. Works like a dream. I have two issues however.

1) My sound card won't be any use once I SLi my GTX 275 (no free PCI slot)

2) The Megahalems is so massive, I can't keep my side fan installed =(

So, I think I have a solution to 1 just not to 2 (I will want to buy a good new, sexy, big black case)

So. Solution to 1 is this: Buy this sound card here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-058-CL&groupid=701&catid=11&subcat=

As far as I know, this can be installed into a PCI x 1 slot, so will be fine above my graphics card.

However, I am stuggling with 2. I do not know what is a good case. I like plain, sexy cases (currently own an Alienware case which I have to say, is very nice, as I have all the lights off). I don't like excess lights or anything, or stupid neon blue fans. I just want a quality case, with high quality cooling, with lots of room to expand my setup. Something with quick release hard drive bays would be awesome, and maybe future space to install water cooling (long term however). I should also add, I'm not a massive fan of windows in cases.

Thanks guys. Hope you can give me some good advice ^^

maybe

One of these has a window but it is rumoured a plain side panel will become available.

Couldn't agree with you more about the silly lights, windows etc :)

I like the Antec Pxxx series. If you want a nice quiet case with space for water cooling take a look at the P193. I am looking at building a new rig and will be using a P183. My current case is a P182.

put the fan on externaly :) keep your case

Look at this card, you have a 64 bit os with that memory so I would choose this :)
