Hi,

Just built myself a nice shiny pc case :D :

its a slow computer (duron 800  ) but it was a taster project really (i really enjoyed the build and Im considering a bigger project when I get some more cash ;) )

if you want to see more pictures of it i have a small website dedicated to it (it was a college project) (click my sig)

Did take a fair few coats :)
primer, isolator, (lots of) mercedes white and then a coat or two of laquer

forgot to mention one of my goals was to spend as little as possible so the speakers and all components are recycled from an old system

If its made out of wood, then surely it acts kind of like a subwoofer with those speakers fitted???

saying that it does sound quite good your probably right

must help with cooling aswell regarding the air movement within the case?

if you see the pictures on my site the psu is above the cpu and i have modified it to take the hot air from the cpu and expel it out of the rear of the case

I think its got:

20gb HDD
640mb RAM
800mhz CPU
4mb SIS graphics (lol)
slot loading CD-ROM
300w power supply

configuration: (3 slots) 1x128mb 2x256mb 168pin dimm sdram 133mhz

do u know what size yours is and how much you would want for it?

not much really, as I said the components are recycled. the wood i used was just scrap lying around my workshop, the most expensive part was the paint which was about £40.00 for a half litre tin

(could have been expensive but I used stuff/materials i had lying about which brought the total to around £60.00ish)

Thanks, yeah it was meant to look a bit like a Mac (but without the costs  )

as to how I feel about Macs i think their hardware (design wise) is great but im not convinced with their software and performance (my system is running XP Pro)

What paint did you use? I've never came across a diy case that hasn't been painted with spraypaint.

I used a urethane based paint with a compressor (I only used an aerosol can for the logo on the top)
