Case fan cables don't reach power

Hi guys and girls,

I built myself a new PC yesterday with the help of another thread here (Thanks for the help!): https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/new-pc-time.18878835/#post-33381898

The build went fairly well (with a few minor hiccups) and everything has come together now. The only thing I have left to do is power up the 2 intake fans at the front of my case. The only problem is that they don't reach any of the power connectors on the motherboard.

The two fans are both 3 pin connectors.

Therefore I have two questions essentially, can I plug a splitter into the CPU Opt header on the motherboard (will it be safe) and what are some splitters that you would recommend for doing this?

On a side note, would it be better to buy something instead so that I could connect the fans to the PSU? OR is this just overkill?

My build is here:
Ryzen 9 3900X
Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE
Corsair Obsidian 750D Full Tower
Crucial Ballistix Elite 16GB 3600 MHz, DDR4
GTX 1080Ti
RMX SERIES RMX750 750W '80 PLUS GOLD'
MP34 M.2 SSD
And then my 2 older SSDs and HDD

I have my CPU fan, one exhaust fan at the back of the case and then 2 intake fans at the front of the case.

The 2 intake fans are the ones that can't reach.

Yeah they are all 3 pin

Is it safe to just plug as many fans as possible into that?

I read online that you need to check the amp out put on the motherboard but my manual doesn't seem to specify this anywhere. I also cant see how much amps my fans require.

Generally 3 fans or less into 1 is ok so 2 into 1 should be absolutely fine.

Fan ratings are printed on the fan usually
What fans have you got?
But as Joxeon said i would not be worried about just 2 fans on a splitter
Of course you could always get a fan controller something like a lamptron(i got a knock off china version of the one that uses a back pci slot) on one of my pcs

I couldn't see anything on the fans, but I checked on my case specification which states that my fans are AF140L. The AF140L says that they are 0.1A each. So I guess I'm just worrying about nothing really :)

Yeah nowt to worry about
You could always get 2 splitters and put one fan on each
i.e. 1 splitter to one mobo header and one splitter to a different mobo header

On the x570 the second system fan header is in the middle of the motherboard for some reason. That's why I'm gonna have to use the CPU Opt header instead which is at the top.

EK Water Blocks EK-Cable Y-Splitter 3-Fan (10cm)
I like the look of this one as the rest of my case is mostly black. Do you know if they have any slightly longer ones? I can't seem to find any that are more than 10cm, which I feel would be quite close to not reaching :)

Fans are pretty low powered
Usually tells you the voltage and
Amps on them
Voltage x amps =watts
Ie if it said 0.3amps
12v x 0.3amps =3.6w
Most fan headers are 1 amp
Ones saying pump/aio/high amp
Are usually 2amp some even 3 amp
2 fans on one header no problem
