Hi folks,
I bought a Akasa 80mm case fan earlier today and connected it to the rear of the PC case and connected the 3 pin connector to one of the Power Supply Fan connectors.
I had a look at the motherboard layout and the only empty fan connections that I could see where two Power Supply Fan connectors and one System Fan connector.
Now I connected the 3 pin connector to the Sytem fan connector first of all and switched the PC on, good enough the fan started spinning, working fine but I had no picture on the TFT monitor. The TFT monitor was on but it was just a blank screen. Exactly the same thing happened when I connected the 3 pin connector too the first of two Power Supply connectors. But when connected to the second of two Power Supply connectors everything worked fine.
The motherboard is an MSI K8T Neo MS-6702. Does anyone have any idea why that happened?
Thanks for your opinions and thoughts everyone.
