Hi,

Can anyone tell me the optimal setup for fan placement in a Coolermaster stacker 832 case, at the moment i have this setup:

2 front intake - noiseblocker 120mm, gentle typhoon 120mm
1 rear exhaust - gentle typhoon 120mm
1 top intake - Noiseblocker 120mm

I also want to add the side door but that would mean buying a new cpu cooler (H60 probably) then i would be able to add 4 extra fans, what fans do you suggest for around £25 budget for all 4, quieter the better, thanks.

Thanks, i will sort that out :)

flip the top intake into an exhaust and you should notice a small drop in temps. remember hot air rises :)

If you install the H60 thoughm draw air into the case from the rear and out the top.

if you dont do this and exhaust out the top and back the two fans will be competing for air and will increase temps due to poorer air flow.

Sorry for mini hijack (it's only one small question and may be relevant to OP:))

I'm in a similar position and just wondering, for this setup (with only 1 fan attached to the rad), which side of the rad should the fan be, pushing cool air onto the it or pulling heat from it?

Glad you told me that, i would have just assumed it would suck air out, so basically i need to leave my top exhaust fan as an intake if i fit a H60.

1 other question, has anyone come across any problems fitting a H60 rad to the rear of the case (especially the stacker 832) as i notice it looks quite tight.

I can comment on the case but if you install an H60 or similar have it pushing air from outside INTO the case and the TOP FAN as an EXHAUST not an intake.

so u will suck cold air from outside, blow it into the case and suck the warm air out the top.
