You dont need to cut holes up top - put rad in bottom, remove the 2nd HDD rack and PSU bracket. Then mount PSU at top of the lower compartment.

That is what Marci recommends for v2000. Also you dont lose any 5.25" bays.

;)

Is the a thread on how to mod this case for watercooling ?

Sorry can't post links to competitors forums

What they did with their modding of v2000 was to have a PA120.3 Rad in the bottom using the space of the PSU and HDD racks. Due to the size of this rad Marci had to do following steps
RES use a bay mounted res
PUMP - this was suspended from the divider plate between mobo/psu areas
PSU - was placed at top of the PSU compartment
RAD - Removed the PSU stand bracket and the 2nd row of HDD racks and the divider plate.
Then cut 3 120mm holes in bottom of case with 1 over the back wheels axel. Then, had to remove the front intake fan housing so it would still fit.
For the rad, it was placed flat on bootom of case with a 120.3 grill and 3 x 38mm fans pulling air into the rad.

Hope this helps :)

OMG I AM IN LOVE :D :D

Just picked up my new Lian Li V2000 and guess what mine is a plus 2!!! Seems Lian Li maybe shipping these as a standard plus now as thats all it says on the box a v2000plus. My god that brushed aluminium is gorgeous!! Will post some pics up tomorrow, and will try and take pics as i mod it to take watercooling, gonna mount the rad in the bottom similar to Marci but hope fully it won't vent out the bottom but the side panels, hard to describe so watch the case forum to see what I mean.

Just waiting on a few t-lines and stuff to arrive and then monday its measuring day lol, thank god i have CAD to mark out where the windows etc are gonna go.

Nice one Stelly just a pitty its not clear at all on the cases page what your gonna get, and according to that page the silver is the non plus one all very confusing, thus ordered from another store :(

Lian Li do not make it clear which version comes from the supplier, same happens for all + and +II / +III cases.

If you all search case central the same issue as the PC7+ has had for a while. Loads of + boxes, but +II cases so they are using up the stock of boxes, and probably never will print a +II box.

It happens with Lian Li and is well known since October last year, well it is when I worked it out and asked them why. :)

Different feet on a old desktop model, I will try and find out what it was.

This is way before my time though, before 80mm fans were the standard so I know very little about it, hopefully someone else can clarify for me.

Not a chance!

Various revisions, but major ones such as the +'s bar the PC7 not many cases have above three versions + colours.

PC7
PC7+ (UK)
PC7+ (US)
PC7+II (UK)
PC7a
PC7a SE

Probably a few more, and also the version with bundled window but I do not know what it was called, way before my time!

Ive never really liked this case but after seeing some decent pics in this thread Ive been converted :D. When the time comes to replace my eclipse i think it may well be one of these i use.

was thinking of getting one of these, do they do the side window panels for them or will it have to be a diy job?

You can indeed buy windows for these cases, although, i'm diy'ing mine, cheaper, and can have the window exactly as you want it, infact you may as well try to do your own, whats the worst that can happen? it goes horribly wrong and you buy a pre-cut windowed side panel... ;)
