Case Reccomendation

excuse me for this but holy crap that is a massive amount of space after the graphics card my current one barely fits. gonna get the case :D just gotta wait till the end of the month so i can buy my new hard drive, graphics cards and heatsink as well save me from having to take it apart more than once :D cheers for your input guys very helpful :)

( btw if any one comes across some one having issue with the my mobo power cutting out and all power need to be drained bfore it will work again they have to flash the bios, was a bit annoyed that i got an asus mobo with a rubbish bios but it works fine now but took a lot of time and a few forums to fiqure it out)

planning on being one of the last cases i buy till i finish uni
Is case supposed to expire then or do they have best before date?
Case is one of the rare parts of PC which can stay useful for ten years or longer so no sense to buy case with aim to replace it even if it hasn't become technically obsolete.
oh cool but do you guy know of any good PCI fans for addational cooling on graphic cards ?
Lian Li has good system for keeping air moving around expansion cards:

Fit's nicely there for continuing laminar airflow coming from front and pushed further by mid case fans.

No zero airflow spots and heat traps in this... and even with damping mats weight of case stayed below 12kg.

had a look at the Coolermaster RC-1000 Cosmos Silent looks okay but saw the highieght and weight and nearly fell off the chair in shock
Steel weights.
Like do thick multilayer panels: Despite of mid tower size Antec P182 weights 14kg. (that case sets quietness standard with it's vibration proofness and sound damping)

Coolermaster HAF: it has the PSU at the bottom and does not have a seprate compartment for it won't the heat from the PSU just travel from the bottom of the case past the graphics card and processor generating more heat ?
PSU's cooling doesn't rely to free temperature difference based convection but to forced airflow created by fan pushing warm air out from PSU.
And it's lot better to have PSU on bottom than to "cool" it with heat from hot components like happens if it's above CPU. (yours happen to be one of the hottest CPUs so far)

Coolermaster HAF. The airflow is exceptional in that case and not only that it's pretty silent.
As silent as car's engine with hood open. (in case of spelling difficulties: component noise insulation big empty zero)

I have a eclipse and think is is fantasic. I got it back when it was about £95. Its huge, my Cable Managment absolutly sucks ass (i can be arsed to mess wanna use it) and the temps are great.

The only things i dont like is the front plastic panel feels flimsy, and the Side panels could be thicker (they can rattle now and again) Im tempted to get some padding to dampen the sides.

Id suggest the omega instead. Its essentially the same case, but with space for more cooling and a door. Currently a tenner more than the eclipse, I think its worth it

(I've got one, its lovely :) )

I'm happy with my Antec 1200 to be honest. Good, solid, great airflow, looks good (in my opinion), plenty of space, good cable management.

Yeah bought mine last year and it came with Fans. I find Cable managment a nightmare though, Not many holes in the mobo tray. Not help by the fact i dont have a modular PSU however.

I also have the Eclipse - lovely case - plenty of room inside but the side panel does rattle even with dampening - currently got some masking tape to hold the panel to the front better as that stops the rattling a bit.

Few things I've noticed are - 1) No anti-vibration rubber feet for hard drives - suspended my hard drives using elastic! 2) No front E-Sata or Firewire ports.

Good thing is it comes with wheels - ideal for when I tinker with it as can wheel it away to work on then wheel it back again :)

The omega has an esata, a firewire, two usb and mic/headphones on the front. It doesn't do anti-vibration for hard drives, but does have wheels which is fantastic. Does not have holes in the motherboard tray, I'm considering cutting some.

Supplied with two fans, presumably the same as on the eclipse, but has space for another 2 on the door and a further 2 in the roof. These do good things for cooling, and should work well when I finally move to water.

That lian li is prettier, but for the sheer size and weight of the case I'd prefer industrial to beautiful. Each to their own of course
