Case recommendation Based on the Provided Spec

Yeh, the Antec does look a nice case, but mirror finish! Like the comments say, you'll spend most of your time wiping it clean.

I'm going to the Computer Fair tomorrow at Trentham Gardens so I'll be looking at the Lian Li cases based on so many recommendations. Like you are saying its better to look classy than tacky. Thanks everyone.

Ask to look inside a lian-li, then check the inside of an antec or something ;)

Is that a head-turner, I've never turned my head to look at one of those!

Lian-Li PC7 is all I can say.

Everyone to there own my friend. All I'll say on the matter is don't knock it till you've tried it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

As for the above case, it looks exactly like what I have now, enough said.

It's essentially the same. It's slightly smaller and has a more open front end. IMO it's not worth the massive increase in cost over the PC-7.

S'pose so, but the PC-A16 has more drive bays allowing you to add a 120mm fan HDD adapter and still have 2x 5.25" remaining. The PC7 does have a windowed side panel available though. Which case offers better cooling?

my thermaltake armour with 25cm side fan is great.

its not too flashy, its not too tacky like a gamers case, its well built, verry easy to keep cables tidy, a lot of room for radiators, a lot of room for fans, front design like a coolermaster stacker, what else can i say, its nice :)

Is that a custom panel?

I don't think so; they can be bought seperately.
Does anybody know if the windowed side panel with mesh can be bought in the UK?

I suppose the A16 is a little better but it's not enough to offset the high price.

Why would you say the PC-A16 is better at cooling? I would rather have it, but a window can't be purchased for it so i'm more inclined to get the PC7.

Yeah, this is relatively easy to find but, for the V1000, i can only find the windowed side panel. I guess, if i get the case, i could use the blower fan instead of the normal fan which usually exhausts air our of the side of the case; this wouldn't look very nice, though. Can an 8800GTX fit in the PC7 or PC-A16? easily?

Nope, just as Mansize said it's the regular Lian-Li windowed side panel. It's quite slick for being a stock part. I'd expect no less from Lian-Li.

Technically yes, but they're hard to find and stock is limited. You could always import one from mainland Europe or the US.

I'd say it's better because it comes, essentially, with an EX-33 hard drive bay that lets you mount the hard disks and front fan wherever you like. this makes it easy to dodge extra long graphics cards and lets you position the fan nearer to the hot parts of the motherboard. Still I don't think it's worth the cost.

To use one in a PC-7 you have to relocate a hard disk so there's room. On the A16 since you can put the hard disk caddy wherever you like so you simply use a higher location to make clearance.

Thank you, BillytheImpaler. Which ever case i get, i'll buy another HDD bay adapter anyway so i can have 2 fans in the front. However, with both cases i can have a side fan (since the side panel can be bought with a mesh) to exhaust/intake more cool air around the graphics card area. Alternatively, i could get the V1000. However, even if i get a HDD bay adapter there'll still only be one fan blowing air into the motherboard area. Also, if i get the case with a window, there'll be no fan to exhaust/intake air around the graphics card. So, although i prefer this case, the cooling isn't as good unless i can find a windowed side panel with mesh. Out of the PC-A16 and the PC7, i prefer the former for the reasons you said, however only the latter can have a side window purchased for it. Or, there's always the Silverstone TJ09. Case decisions are too difficult.. :(
