Hi guys, with LED connectors and switch connectors, on the black female part you plug into the board, they have on one side a small arrow on the plastic, does this mean positive or negative??

Cheers.

The coloured wire will be positive - I think. Seriously, just try it and see. With the switches it shouldn't make any difference, and with the LEDs it will either work or it won't. :)

Thanks guys, my main worry is for USB connectors though, the manual rattles on and on about if they are wired up wrong they may damage the USB device.

Do a search on USB connector pins and you'll get what you are after. It's fiddly, but quite straightforward. And yes, if the motherboard doesn't have a poly-fuse and you connect them the wrong way round, you'll fuse the board and make that USB port unusable.

Once you get all the loose USB pins in the correct arrangement wrap sellotape around them to save doing it again each time.

Or a glue gun if you have a steady hand (and a glue gun)
