well it looks like this case is out of reach now !

why do we get shafted by import tax so bloody much !

Surely thats wrong. The insurance will be included in the $150 shipping cost, right? If they say thats what itll cost they arent going to add $600 charge to you for insurance.
 
Well as far as I know (importing some games, cds, some clothes, mostly little stuff) your shipping includes insurance to a set amount, unless you want more (in which case the shipping will cost more). But then the case isnt built it should be less risk of being crushed dented etc so you should be fine.

Calculated cost ignoring that value is then £567.48.

Downside is all couriers are rip off merchants. Ive paid the cost of shipping AGAIN (was about $38 then about £28 in charges) to ship it "from the EU border", on things that have gone through customs with no charge...

using the calculator its what I put above, but allow for a £50 charge for the courier to tack on for whatever they decide to make up and list on your bill. Maybe some extra if he stops at the services for breakfast on the way too. ;)

I'd say you are looking at around £600 as the worst case scenario.

it is some what annoying that some good case's are not in the uk when most of our uk case's are available in the usa.
 
$566...so that's about £350. Hmm. Considering it appears to be the daddy of all cases I guess that's not too bad. But still...£350 for a case is...well....a lot no matter how you look at it.
Schizo there must be alternatives you can look at if you really want one? Is it not available anywhere else rather than direct from manufacturer? Could you not get OCUK to assist and use their buying/relations power to get a small order in of say 5-10?

Might be worth dropping them a mail.
 
I'm not sure how long this case has been out or that any other company's sell them.

I'll do some digging and send a few mails to people.

The cost is a lot but it's a big case,some people might think its a waste of money but to me it's a good investment.

I do want the case and will try everything to get one,just need to sell me mountain mods case to fund some of the new case :)

Can't find any uk stockist of this case so I'll contact ocuk and ask what they can do.

It might be a few months before I get the money but I'm almost certain I'll have this case if everything goes ok.
 
Perfect case for what I need. Less than perfect price with shipping :( Would be tempted if stocked in the UK (Hint hint OcUK? :P)
 
this made me realise how big this case is after seeing this picture.

getting rather excited about getting it now :)
