Cash Machine Fraud / What to do?

... just logged onto my account to check what mine was and saw that my card had been used in an ATM at 2am last night. Then I checked again, and saw it was a MoneyBox machine in Liquid (local club).

when using a card what you should also do is go through your balance carefully and note any unusual withdrawls... scammers may also take out small amounts but over a longer period of time.

The picture is of a typical ATM we all use so often. Firstly, before we hit the numbers, make sure that no person is shoulder surfing, as in watching what you are doing trying to scam your PIN number. It is a common thing in the big cities, where your PIN is surfed and then your card may be pick pocketed from you, snatched or a card reader used which gets card information except the PIN, which they now have. Be careful.
Looking at the picture, no 1 is the card slot. Check this every time to see that a wafer thin card reader is inside which can scam the details from your card. Run your finger along it and see if anything seems out of place or not quite right. If it is, don't use it and report it to the bank.
2 links in with 1 as this is a common place for tiny cameras to be inserted by criminal gangs, so that when you put your card in and there is a reader in it, the camera sees you tapping in your PIN and the card and the PIN are married up so the information neede to clone the card is available to use. Always check for anything unusual and again report it if anything seems out of place.
3 is the keypad. Always, ALWAYS cover it up when you use it. I either use my hand or a wallet and key in the PIN so that if there is anything I have missed, then they don't have the PIN to go with it.
