What about cast your fingers and paint them like you cut them off and wrapped them up for your relatives. Comedy gold. You could do ears toes etc the same way, maybe a whole foot brutally hacked off above the ankle. Fake eyeball with a gooey stalk attached to the back.
Brilliant idea! If I have any spare stuff I'll make a small box and only put my fingers in. I don't think people are getting the point of this be reading the posts, it's not really supposed to be a good present, it's supposed to be a silly one. One year I got people a colouring book and crayons. It was rubbish but they saw the humour in it, I even got coloured in pages back and a little colour-off emerged after dinner. Kids won. Why aren't adults allowed to beat kids? They didn't even stay in the lines.

a silly idea, how the relations must look forward to your present delivery.But after all it is the thought that counts and we have to rememebr we all need an extra pair of hands sometimes.

Are you casting your hand while it's in the "V for victory" or "pulling a chain" pose?
I'm unsure what hand pose to do, I think I'll do a variety and send the V and middle finger to people who have the best sense of humour. Ideally they'll be transparent with little random things in them. Like kinder egg twos and playing cards. Dead man's hand would be good (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_man's_hand).

Pulling a chain pose would make an excellent stationary holder for ones office desk.
