Wasn't that a Rover?

I could be wrong, but I'd swear that was a BMW M Coupé thing. Looks like a kidney shaped grille at the very least, and that would be a BMW trademark.

Guess I wasn't looking closely  you're talking about the green car with stripes getting crushed, right?

Green car with the yellow stripe. Looks to me like a Lotus 11 or a Westfield replica of one. The car destroying it is definitely a BMW.

*Cries for the scooby but especially for the evo*

It's like the evo wasn't even trying to turn, that must have been some serious lock, but ouch.

That video is quite scary... lot of oversteer snap-back.

I'd like to think that I would somehow be able to handle it better but the reality is in all of the cases it looks like the snap-back is quite a surprise. Being able to hold a drift (I think) isn't childs play.

I guess it comes down to just too much speed going into the corner, as others have remarked.

Ahhh, the legend that is Quarry Corner :D

In all honesty though I don't understand why so many people get Quarry so wrong. I have never found it to be that tricky, infact I'd say Camp corner is trickier to get right due to the double apex.

I'm not surprised that you find Camp tricky if you are taking it with a double apex. It does have a very late apex though.

what happens in this situation? is it the BMW drivers fault and he pays up or is it just what happens on the track?
AIUI, there's no third-party aspect to trackday insurance, each driver simply claims on their own insurance for the damage to their car, however caused. Could be wrong here though :)

Of course, insurance aside, I'd imagine the Lotus driver beat seven shades of **** out of the Beemer owner.

The Lotus driver is just as at fault as the beemer driver, if he hadnt crashed he wouldnt have been there for the beemer to hit.
