Different magic is the main one, not sure of anything else. Im the orange one which is fire.

Yeah you can replay the stages once you have done them with that character, its worth doing some with cardinal (red bird animal orb) as he has a few things he unlocks on the way.
Yeah I'm using him right now. So I can then take this character online and play through with him and the whole game again?

Yeah all your stuff from sp mode carries into online mode. Be aware though that online has a lot of issues currently such as dropping out, crashes and even a horrible save wiping bug.
Its a shame that side of things is so bugged as the game is otherwise totally awesome.

I keep getting my ass kicked by that big guy in the forest entrance.. Tried 3 times now and he kills me every time. 
What am I doing wrong?

A couple of the boss's took me a time or two to work out what to do. Make sure to level up and use the xp and weapons wisely.

I think ive buggered mine up tbh.. I just kept putting all the XP into strength
Now I have got some super strong guy that moves dead slow, has no magic and poor defense.. oh dear. I'm in the castle with them guys with the cone heads and that boss keeps beating me.

Oh and a little XP trick, just re-do the catfish for 600xp each time

Yeah, I always forget to use the shield. I just go head first pressing Y

I've been playing the demo of this earlier on and i love it!! I just don't know if to press the unlock button or to save my points AAAHHHH!!!! DECISIONS!!!
It's the first thing I have bought from XBL and its pretty fun

Golden Axe is ASS. Complete waste of points. It's just pure spamming and using lame tactics. No block button or proper combos or juggles or anything so the best tactic is usually just to jump attack CONSTANTLY. SO LAME.
