Cat & Fiddle

And again Simon manages to join a thread just to poke at me.

My car is fine on the road thanks.

You really should read some of your posts before hitting submit, you will realise how cocky you can sound. Saying all bikes are too slow ?!?

I read it as you slating bikes, I thought I'd add a valid point. If you don't like someone reading your posts then commenting I really don't know why you bother posting on a public discussion forum. It was only a litte tongue in cheek anyway.

We had massive problems with oil surge in a bike engine when you stick it in a vehicle that doesn't lean.

There is no way your Leon will keep with a well driven bike, my mate has a Leon Cupra and it doesn't even see which way I go in bends as it simply doesnt have enough grip up front.

Oh and Matlock is full of fashion rangers :D

On the cat & fiddle road, no contest, sorry. Too many tight bends that bikers have to damn near stop for.

Interesting, sounds like a challenge :p

Never been to the Cat & Fiddle yet but there must be at least a few sweepers or small straights? in which case any decent rider should be miles away before any car can even get stuck behind on the tight stuff :p That or there must be a load of crap Riders up north!

Some cracking roads round there, my driving insructor took me up a few times, 17 and 150bhp Astra diesel was some good crack. Power wasn't there in the 106 but the wheel in there air was :D

Bosley to the C&F on the A54, i find this road much more fun than the macc to C&F, not as much traffic and no cops :p

Gets more fun around 6mins when i get chance to get past some old farts and pickup some more speed, shame the camera doesn't really pick-up the car "perhaps getting all 4 wheels in the air several times", you can see the camera shake on the rebounds :p

That's the road! I thought that was a hell of a lot fun than the Cat + Fiddle itself. The speed some bikes were hitting down there was crazy! Although I wasnt going too fast up hill on my 125, coming down is a lot of fun!

EDIT: Wouldn't be a bad idea to arrange a meet round here. It is close to the M6, which you can get off at Holmes Chapel, Bartomley (Alsager/Crewe) then straight through Congleton onto the A54, through Buxton (or take a detour by turning left and going through C+F), towards Matlock and then through Matlock into the Peak district?

You can do a nice loop as well, Bosley (A54) to Buxton - Right at that T junction near the end of my video, follow the A54 then at the next T Junction turn right, follow the A53 then A523, makes for a very good loop!
