Cat / Fox Deterrent that actually ******* works!?

The Silent Roar stuff linked to earlier is the daddy, if you don't fancy following a lion around with a trowel and plastic bag.

We were constantly sold out in my shop when we stocked it, and heard nothing but good things from customers about it.

Are you aloud to shoot them with a pellet gun?

ive got a .177 co2 pistol and a .22 air rifle

ive taken a hit with the .177 and that did sting! i wouldnt do it with the .22 though as i bet that would stay inside of you until you dug it out.

i dont exactly want owners to have to visit the vets and pay out to a get pellet out of their cat. i dont want to cause the cat any real harm either
I think you should be more concerned about the owner finding out and taking the law into there own hands! either of those calibers are enough to fatally wound an animal . Get yourself a super soaker or the equivalent, a short burst of water will shift a cat.

I often shoot them with a standard L96 Airsoft gun.. It stings like a ***** but it doesnt cause any harm. Animal rights whatever, they try and grab my fish in my pond and they get shot. They dont come back..

remember that an airsoft gun might not damage us it may be enough to do some proper damage to a cat, their bones are a lot smaller and more fragile and all their internal organs are much closer to the surface so more liable to tissue damage

my dad just used to shoot them, never came back and they never got injured
.22 rifle.

clearly all you alpha males have not got a clue what a .177 or a .22 will do to a cat

Listen, some people treat their pets like surrogate children, consider what a parent would do to you if you shot their child in the eye with a pellet. A pet owner is likely to treat you the same way and give you a well deserved kicking.

So maybe think a little before you act like the smartass hard guy on forums, not only are some people moronic enough to think shooting cats is clever and funny but some easily led cretins actually do this for real.

The same goes for the rat poison/antifreeze morons, don't go around thinking it's clever because one day you may get an angry pet owner standing at your door, you won't look so hardcore then will you?

No, I'm not Pro Animal Rights, I'm Anti Moron :)

You should see what one of these does to a cat.

Keep your cat inside your house and we can be best neighbours.
You don't write the laws in this country, so no.

Go live in a country that associates gun ownership with having a large penis, your oversized cartridge pictures are failing to impress me, sorry :)

Actually it's perfectly legal to shoot feral cats. If your cat's hanging around anywhere near a farm, or a game bird rearing pen, it's getting a .22 (real one, not an air pellet) or a shotgun. That's just how it works, and it is the law.

Not quite, you would have to know for certain it was a feral cat beforehand, not just blast away at anything cat shaped or collarless.
Kill a domestic cat and you would be guilty of committing criminal damage, be charged and probably sued.

It's really not a good idea anyway, a farmer at the back of me was prosecuted for putting out a banned poison after it killed at least one cat. Afterwards a lot of his farm equipment got vandalised and his hay storage has been torched twice now, it must be costing him thousands.
Although it was only one cat, I reckon pet owners tend to think it could have easily been theirs that got killed and react in the same way.

I know people just love talking about shooting things and thinking this makes them look cool and hard, but the reality is that supercool attitude sometimes bites them in the ass and they end up on the wrong side of a group of irrational angry people. Nobody wants to be the village paedophile and nobody wants to be the village cat killer either, you'd be surprised at how quickly such things get talked about and who's willing to seek revenge on someone else's behalf.

Why is against the law to let a dog foul on public areas and a fineable offence but letting your cat **** anywhere is not?

And if you hit a dog you have to report it but a cat you dont?
