i have never seen this before,i was at a custmors house last week and to my supprise i saw a cat with a full grown rabit in its jaws just like a lion or tiger with a gazzel .
i thought a cat (pussy cat) never went for rabbits just birds and mice.
iv been arround for fourty odd years but iv never seen this before

Cats'll have a pop at anything they fancy they can have. Saw our cat have a go at a fully grown pheasant once, jumped on its back, pheasant got about 6 ft in the air before the cat decided to let go :D

Cat's will go for anything. My old Parker caused a guy's dog from a few doors down to be hospitised (vetised?) when it jumped over our gate and tried to eat Parkers food. He ripped it's face and neck open, quite literally too, and left it with one eye in the process.

It never made that mistake again, I tells ya! :D

Last nights tally for my two tom cats was:

1x vole
2x field mice
1x crow (smallish one)
1x random small bird
1x SEAGULL <- yes a bloomin seagul although I've no idea if they actually managed to kill it or if they just picked up some roadkill (wouldn't be the first time.)

Cats are hunters, my lot bring in at least half a dozen "presents" a week, sometimes a dozen a night and we live in central Glasgow :D

i never would have thought that a nice puddy cat would have gone that far,but you peeps have tought me somthing i would have never belived.

Must have been something wrong the rabbitt so it was better of dead.
My old original Boss Staffy dog only caught 8 rabbitts in the whole of his life, all were caught in a 6 month period when he was peaking around the age of 3. After that i just don't think he cared enouth to catch'em.
Cat caught rabbitt must have been ill, dying or something, If not & this cat does this regularly then i want to meet this cat :p

We live right on the banks of the River Trent and you wouldn't believe the amount of birds, mice, voles and rats that Parker used to bring back. Many a day I've opened the back door to find a half dead rodent or bird of some description lying there in the yard.

pmsl :D Class.

Our old tomcat had the patience to catch moles, he'd wait by the mole hill for ages waiting for the slightest movement, then was right on it.

We live in the country though, so there's always small creatures around that our cats munch on.

I love the little blighters

LOL. Same I have one Tom cat and one tortoiseshell. Our tom seems to bring in all sorts, leaving open the door just to is a no no at night as I can guarantee when I come into the kitchen theres a dead mouse/bird of some sort lying there.

Mine has no problems with rabbits at all. Presume he must sneak up on them or something but as he would out-run the staffy he cartainly has a better chance of catching the bunny
