Jonesy, also referred as Jones, was a cat kept aboard the USCSS Nostromo as Ellen Ripley's pet. While the cat's official purpose was to control rodents aboard the ship, he also served as a source of relaxation and entertainment for the crew.

Gizmo is a cool suggestion, but the neighbours dog over the road has that name.
I suggested quite a few of these but the Mrs wasn't keen, I think we ended up calling him Maverick.

There never was a cat
Its subject to final agreement by her indoors.
The kitten is only 6 days old, so we need to wait 8 weeks before we can take it away from the mother.
I think it was in Carry on Loving that a guest asks the host "what is your cat called?" The response was "Cooking fat." Which is a play on words F...... Cat.
