Hi, got a little problem here..

Basically we have a 4 month old kitten here and my mom wants it moved to my dads garage (not near our house). The problem is that there are foxes near the garage and were scared that the foxes will eat the kitten. The reason why my mom wants the cat moved is because it excretes in the garden, we are going to get some artificial grass and my mom wants the cat moved before we get it in.

Is there something I can put on the artificial grass to ensure the cat doesnt go near it?

you need to train the cat to use dirt boxes or flower beds... not lock it in the garage...

... its sickening how bad some people treat animals. Maybe you should lock your mum in the garage?

Punch your mum in the ovaries and keep the kitten.

I'm sorry, but I just couldn't believe nobody has said it yet :-(

What your mum is wanting to do is cruel, give the kitten away to someone who will look after it.

Oh and get some real grass, not that horrid fake stuff.

If she hates gardening, you can bet your life on it looking scruffy after a year or so, as you still need to rake the leaves and general rubbish off it.

Find the cat a new owner, you're obviously not in an environment with people who are responisible/sensible enought to know how to look after an animal, give it away before someone reports you to the RSPCA.

Too late
Just hope the RSPCA can find the poor thing before it's too late.

update

Well today was the day she was suppose to move to the garage, the kitten that is.

We got her down there, put it in the spot near the trees, my sister came along also. After a few hours, she realised this wasn't the place for the cat. And decided she would give it away. The kittens back at our house now.

Tomorrow we will give it back to the original owners.

Thats the correct decision. Make sure its seen through correctly.

After reading the first few posts of this thread I was about to throw a barrage of abuse at you. But reading this changed my mind. Good decision :)

Poor bloody cat :( Rehome it with a family who actually want a cat.

An industrial garage is no place for it to live! Foxes are smaller than you think and will get anywhere the cat can, it'll either run away or be killed by foxes. Will your sister be visiting the cat for a few hours every day to give it the love and affection it deserves?!? Probably not, no! If you can't take the flip side of keeping a pet, buy a cuddly toy.

And artificial grass... WTF?? How lazy can you get.

[edit] Bit late there wasn't I. Ah well, no harm no foul. Best decision by for all concerned.

Grass comment still stands though

Tell your mum i said she's an idiot. Hell even show her what i've written here.

Buying an animal without considering how it will eat, sleep and excrete is just stupid. Whats even worse is to think that its better to move the cat to a cage (thats effectively a home with bars) in an industrial park because she's too damn stubborn to try house training it first.

Sorry but your mum really does sound like a retard, your sister wasn't really to blame, its her pet and she's only ten... any idea that involves her still owning the pet will seem a good one to her.

But quite frankly i'm suprised that your mum and dad have managed to raise you and a sister given their completely moronic approach to this simple problem.

Also tell her fake grass fades, gets muck stuck to it, its slippier when wet and gives you friction burns when you fall over. Again another moronic approach.
