hi guys.

is it okay to group cat5e together and coil and any excess cable up at the pc?

also how durable is said cable?

Is it okay to be walked across? (Under carpet/bare floorboards)

If you'll be coiling it withother cables then make sure you use STP (Shielded Twisted Pair). It's pretty durable and should be OK under carpet.

it runs along walls with other cat5 that isnt solid core, and its coiled with its self and the destination of the run

It will be ok to coil it.

But don't run it anywhere that it will be walked on. It just isn't up to the wear it will recieve.

okay dokey, i'll take it up another level and down then, i might not need to coil it then >_<

Flat cable is a cheap/easy option - last lot of cat6 we got was about 2mm thick and flat, perfect fur running under underlay/carpet. Shame as i'd already run 5e and lifter all the floor boards :(
