Cat6 cable speed question

Do them all as 568B. Only press down once on the crimper, check that the wires all reach the end of the pins
Thank you very much for your advice. I re-wired my straight through cables according to T568B, as per your suggestion, and now obtain speeds of 980mbps on these straight through wired cables I made as well.

I was previously told by someone that the order of the colours of the wires does not matter in a straight through wired cable, because the devices connected cannot see the colors of the wires, that the cable would work as long as it is wired pin-to-pin and that the order of the colours are mainly for easy maintenance. I guess that this might be true for speeds below 100mbps, but have now learned that it is definitely not true for speeds above 100mbps.

When you stripped the jacket off the cable you'd have seen the 8 individual wires arranged in pairs twisted around each other. While it doesn't matter which pairs you use, you absolutely have to arrange them in pairs. There's no reason to deviate from a cabling standard when the standards exist.
