Catalyst 10.3 Application Profile update

that is very strange
on the sreenshot I took there are definatly no dots like you have highlighted
ive just ran heaven again, same result give or take .1 and definatly no artifacts showing
could it possibly have something to do with the printscreen and the gif being saved to not the highest quality ? or imageshack resizing the image ?
here is the origional at ful screen
i think its pixelation

Its becuase you used a gif. which is interpolating 16 million colours down to 256 colours.

Try saving as a jpg or png. You will probably get smaller file sizes as well. But if your object is to show the benchmark results, just clip the image to the relevant parts :)

had me worried for a min then ! pheew !...
i knew it was something to do with the files ( gifs ) as i never have seen any artifacts
thanks for clearing that up biffa !:p

still can't enable >2AA with this patch in BFBC2 - I get black squares everywhere :(

Hopefully the official 10.3 release will fix BFBC2 crossfire support!

yeah the black lines are abit annoying, i find they only occur when going fast on the back of a quad or jetski tho
i now travel on foot !

The officials aren't going to be any better than the 10.3a previews.

Ye well ati just dicks then, because i get screen flickering all the time with this. i dont get it when i turn cat ai off but then it chops my fps to 40s meaning its a crossfire issue ati need to get fix for the full release.

Out of intrest could you run the test at 1680x1050.
Just to see how they compare..

As running my 5850s at your clocks gives..

Usually run 850 x 1150 as runs stock volt, this took 1.1V not a lot more.

:)

Thats interesting. You beat my HD5970 at this test by a decent 7fps. I matched your clockspeeds to both of my cards gpu's - Wonder if it's the extra cpu speed kicking in there?:

Well if I up my CPU to 4 I get..

Only a 0.5 increase..

Now if I up GPU core to 925...

:)

they are overclocked scores, ive just realised as i was about to try and set my clocks higher, realising they were already set to profile 2, dont know when i did that

Isn't a 5970 like 2 x 5850 ?
A 5870 is better than a 5850 so 2 x 5870 better the 5970 ??

So in theory yours will be slighty lower than 2 x 5870 and slightly quicker than 2 x 5850

Also yours is best for res above 1680x1050 as has 2 gig memory

?

i hate benchmarks
i must have wasted hours of my life sat infront of 06, vantage and now heaven
one day i will be sat up in heaven thinking " if only i didnt bench as much "

twitch ive just pm'd u

Well...
This is the highest I can seem to get with my cpu in normal day to day running..
And last bench I will do....
Well untill the new cats and profiles are out ;)

1000 core and 1200 memory @ 1.25V (won't go above that I'm to scared..lol)

Not much of an increase from 925 ..
