Catalyst 11.8 Preview Driver

Just played Crysis 2 well overclocked for an hour or so on these and a stint on BC2 .... no new issues to report. But for Crysis, DX11 is still around 66% per GPU core whereas DX9 is in the 90s ..

That's a little funny as in what Catalyst Creator said on Twitter a while back, that DX11 scaling was at it's full potential.

I'm beginning to find a lot of things he says thats going to happen or what it's suppose to be has no substance.

Scaling is broken with MSAA on (same with the nv edge AA command)

It's perfect with all AA off, shame the game looks poor without it

Hi all

What's best to update the drivers, can u just install over the tip and will it keep my gfx settings or is it best to uninstall first and the install.

Can u save your gfx settings if u need to uninstall

I am using 11.6 and it's on a htpc

Thanks.

There is much debating on this subject, I have always just installed over the top and never had any problems.
Though in the past I have booted up in safe mode and deleted all my ATI/AMD folders and started again, I did use Driver Cleaner a couple of times but the last time I used it I had all sorts of issues where I think it removed a file it should not have done "I would surgest you avoid this"

Just install over the top and all will be good :)
