Catalyst 7.6

I have the same problem too with the settings in CCC not applying in games. I am now using Ati Tray Tool with Catalyst 7.5 and it works a treat. The latest ATT has support for 2900XT I believe.
What happens if you apply AA in the game settings? Can you not just do it there rather than the CCC?

I was referring to games that don't have the ingame settings and thus need to be forced by the driver. For example oblivion still won't let you turn on AA + HDR at the same time without you forcing AA in the driver. And in Test Drive Unlimited the AF option is just completely absent and thus need to be forced in the driver. There are a lot more examples to name just a few.

Ahh i see, I really didn't know this was in affect.

Are you saying then for example i set AF in CCC as you cannot set this in game that this only randomly is applied to games?

Id like to see some AA performance increase, playin Rfactor last friday in my league race and i was getting 25fps when i was at the back of the field :o

This is at 1280 x 1024 @ 2x AA and 8 x AF.. and only 9 cars , My X1900XT was better than this..

Its been quite stable for me, and the fan noise isnt a problem.

Just hoping for a bit more stability in the drivers really. Looking at reviews at stuff you can see some games are WAY behind the GTS, and other games it's practically at GTX levels or just above the GTX. It's just a bit of all over the place, so I guess I'd like it more stable :)

Full speed? To my 'knowledge' (da dum tish!) the fan has never gone 100% on me, I've done it once in ATI Tools, and that was scary! :o

Lol yeah it is abit scary, imagine them in Crossfire

If your pc was on wheels it would start moving across the room :D

The fan is definetly a powerhouse the overclocking potential with this fan is awesome you could get insane ocs if you ramped the fan up :D

Hmm i read a post saying ATT does not support the 2900xt in it's current release.

CAn anyone confirm or rebuke this?

ATi Tool supports the HD2900 but ATi Tray Tools does not yet.
