No, about the same in my experience.

I dunno, seems like the 2900 dont like low res, but some games run fine, but others need 4xAA to work fine.

Got my stuff in yesterday :D

Pleasantly surprised with the HD2600xt DDR3 for £65 tho :) Just thought, Oblivion Ultra High, Max Tree Fas + Grass, Canopy Shadows, Full Shadows Ext and Int, Max everything else on HDR, 16xAF but no AA. Ran pretty damn smoothly :) Seems like the high shader clock helps pretty well here, but not actually taken any frame rate recordings as of yet. Very impressed though I must say so far.

Will run 3D Mark 06 later on no doubt.

Just ran 05 and 06 there with my CPU @ 2.8Ghz and the HD2600xt @ 830core and 800mem! Remember this is the DDR3 Version but I have taken over at Rank #1 vs a Quad core on 06 lol!

3DMark Score 4883 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 1663 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 2113 Marks
CPU Score 2430 Marks

Sound about right then I guess? Using 7.7's btw

Could be the same issue the 2900 has with 3D06, try the fix below. ;)

This is a known issue and we have been able to reproduce it in our test lab. The problem lays in an DLL which we use to detect the graphics cards' core and memory speeds. We are working on an update to correct this issue after which all Futuremark benchmarks should run fine with the latest offerings from all IHV's. Until then you can work around this issue either by renaming the "Direcpll.dll" file (found in %WINDIR%\system32\Futuremark\MSC\) to something else
