Hopefully.....*fingers crossed* bioshock will be properly coded for Dx10

the 2600XT can do 15fps+ in dx10... i played lost planet in dx10 settings on max and i got between 20 to 25fps...

Your doing much better than me, my max is 20fps.

Oh wait, its improved, now at 1440x900, all high with shadow quality/res at medium, no AA, I get around 25fps average.

1440x900, I updated my previouse post.

25fps average now with all high, 0AA, medium shadow quality and res.

don't forget vista is half of the problem too of being slow in dx10.

because if u think about dx9 games in vista they run slower also...

You're on Vista? And your fps is about the same as mine in LP DX10, in DX9 my fps never drops below 35 with the same settings.

yes im on vista64

ive just tested it now on dx10 at 1440x900, max settings, and i get 20fps average... on dx9 at 1440x900, max settings, and i get 30fps+

but if u run lost planet dx9 in vista then run it in xp with the same settings you'll see a differents in xp..

but im completely convinced anyway. going to go for "HD2600XT GDDR3 256MB" if 8800GTS and q6600 don't drop in price. im about £60 over budget with G0 q6600 and 8800GTS.

Yeah them quad cores make all the difference in the CPU score, dont do much for fps in the graphics benches though, IMO the CPU score should not be included in the the final result.

These drivers are the best yet IMO, gained over two hundred points in 3DM06 and my fear fps min went up by eight and the average by ten, roll on the official release.

Can somebody else try those settings and tell me what they get?
