Catalyst 7.9BETA Leaked

Apparently these 7.9's have been leaked, just thought I would put it in it's own thread.

http://forum.beyond3d.com/showthread.php?t=43644

Available for Windows XP/Vista.

Getting Vista ones now, 116.8MB.

Would be good if someone can test them, I am currently unable to as my machine is currently down with no Ram.

Thanks
Willz.

Ah right, I hope some leaked drivers appear in the next couple of days, or something for Bioshock.

Meant to be coming out tomorow for this bioshock demo so no big deal really.

Apparently it's only NV brining drivers out tomoz even tho that says ATi aswell, but I do hope ATi do release something, they cant not tbh, anything to give a couple extra FPS in Bioshock will be good tbh, I think I'll be overclocking the graphics full time for this game too.

mmmmm i looked in the .inf files of the vista and xp drivers and it only as 3 cards listed..

"ATI Radeon HD 2400 Series AGP " = ati2mtag_RV610, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_94C4
"ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro AGP" = ati2mtag_RV630, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9587
"ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT AGP" = ati2mtag_RV630, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9586

No they're not 7.8 are your lot till next month. There will not be any drivers from ATi AFAIK, Most likely nvidia "BioShock" optimised drivers that don't do much.

Damn OEM's leaking the drivers

Err and why should it matter if an OEM leaks a driver?

More driver choice = better for end users.

As long as the end user knows they are beta and problems can occur.
