It's really quiter bothersome that such a simple thing requires third party apps or bios updates, or some stupid irritating method of editing an xml file, which you then manually have to enable....

Get ATI Tray Tools then latest beta it has good fan controls and you can dump CCC
 
well it seems the only way to make grid playable is to use medium settings and 4xAA, that can't be right can it @ 1280x1024 res??? my bro plays it on a 8800gt at ultra settings, 4xAA and at 1680x1050 :mad:

edit, is anyone using vista x64 and do you have SP1 installed? codemasters say you need it for it to work properly.

with my 4850 at stock clocks i get a good 70-80+ fps at 1680x1050 in grid....everything maxed and 8xaa 16xaf
 
well i ordered another card which will be here tomorrow so we'll see.

just out of curiosity, is my psu powerfull enough? its only got 2 x 18amps on the 12v rail but i tested a corsair 520w which has 41amps on the 12v rail and the same happened and surely that has enough juice for it?
 
Have you checked for the latest bios for you mobo? I know some had issues with the 48xx series. Edit : No known problems there.
