Catalyst 9.12 leaked (Vista/Win7 64)

well i just got a 3 fps increase on the uningine bencmark dx11, its not much but its better than nothing.

When i install the new ones, i just run the Install Manager from Programs and Features to remove the previous set, then after it restarts, i install the new.

I downloaded these, installed and put it this way I had to do a total system recovery

took 5 mins thanks to the image I saved last week

ppfffft waiting till tomorrow for the official release

I just installed them and it failed to update, restarting didn't help, uninstalling and reinstalling, back to the 9.11s also didn't help, driversweeper didn't, manually didn't, total restore sorted these suckers lol

thank god for acronis true image free edition, wasn't looking forward to manual reinstall of the os

If your system is incapable of writing a driver without creating a mess like this then I'd take a long hard look at it.

No need to uninstall. Win7 and Vista can stop and start driver services on the fly, allowing the old drivers to be overwritten with no issues.

They don't dominate and they crumble with 8xAA at higher resolutions, and are dependent on xfire scaling to get near a 5870 which is not perfect and at worst you will be down to a single 5770 performance in some games.

Yep, great value but not a HD5870 beater or do they even match the HD5870.

actually 5770 in crossfire scales quite well suprisingly

and even 3 in crossfire (tri-fire) is even more more surprisingly good

2 of them are great value, even 3 of them works out a little cheaper (now) than a 5870 :p

I purchased these 2 over a 5850 because of the spanking it gives to a 5850 and a 5870

I must admit I was tempted with a £300 5870 but saved over a hundred quid and got a decent 5870 beating set :p

They can beat a 5870 out in some games which is irritating.

Maybe has something to do with 5770x2 using advanced Catalyst AI optimizations whilst 5870 uses Standard.

A 5770 is just a 5870 chopped in half so there's no real reason why two of them should be faster.
