I downloaded these, installed and put it this way I had to do a total system recovery
took 5 mins thanks to the image I saved last week
ppfffft waiting till tomorrow for the official release
I just installed them and it failed to update, restarting didn't help, uninstalling and reinstalling, back to the 9.11s also didn't help, driversweeper didn't, manually didn't, total restore sorted these suckers lol
thank god for acronis true image free edition, wasn't looking forward to manual reinstall of the os
When i install the new ones, i juut run the Install Manager from Programs and Features to remove the previous set, then after it restarts, i install the new.
No difference in Dirt here either really
you might not even have to rebootNo need to uninstall. Win7 and Vista can stop and start driver services on the fly, allowing the old drivers to be overwritten with no issues.
5770 crossfire seems to dominate a 5870.
Makes me feel like selling my 5870.
They don't dominate and they crumble with 8xAA at higher resolutions, and are dependent on xfire scaling to get near a 5870 which is not perfect and at worst you will be down to a single 5770 performance in some games.
I'd still rather have the single card, especially if I'd got one for the release price.
They can beat a 5870 out in some games which is irritating.
