Catalyst Driver install properly?

Hi

Finally thought i would upgrade my trusty 10.7 cats to the latest 11.1 gfx drivers for my 4980.

Uninstalled and then install 11.1 direct from amd site. Just checked the software info

Does this look correct? Catalyst says it 10.6 now? should it not be 11.1? Have no idea if the d3d and opengl drivers has been updated as well?

I think something has gone wrong

I got the driver straight from the amd home site The only thing i can think of is i didnt go for the full suite i opted for the slightly smaller package, the one without APP and OpenCL driver -as i had no clue what that was?.

Do you think i should redownload the full one with APP and OpenCL to make a difference? Or perhaps a try a different source like Guru3d?

Download the full package and uninstalled the current via ati install manager.

Rebooted and installed the new install from Guru3d and the software info is exactly the same

Can you please tell me where you got this version of the driver. I think the ones i downloaded although are offical arent as up to date as the ones you are using?

Don't worry it has installed correctly. It is a bug in the 11.1 package that will show an older install of the catalyst version number but it will have installed the latest version. I have installed 11.1 but it shows up as 10.11 but i know it is 11.1.

From testing, the important thing is that seems to be running ok

yeah have had others installed before, I am using the 11.1a hot fix drivers
