Catalyst reporting incorrect version number?

(Wasn't sure if this should go in software or graphics, Mods please move if necessary).

I loaded the Catalyst software and the version number (Current Version) is 11.5.

The file I downloaded was 12.4. Any ideas why this is?

Known issue, had various CCC drivers and 2/3 times it'd be wrong

Ah ok, thanks for confirming at least.

Presumably the drivers themselves are still correct despite the incorrect version number.

That I couldn't find out, MSI After Burner and CCC reported the wrong driver even after deleting and re-installing a different driver?
