So, I recently set my comp up using an Asrock Extreme4 Gen3 as my mobo WITHOUT A DVD-RW. So, I went to install drivers (downloaded all new ones from various appropriate websites on girlfriend laptop) from a pen drive.

However, my pen drive wasn't detected, presumably because I need USB drivers. So, I figured I'd connect it to the internet and download the USB driver then install the rest from the USB as my internet sucks.

Turns out I need a network driver too.

So, the only thing I can think of is slaving my drive in a mates comp and transfering them over then putting the drive back into my computer. Any other options people can think of?

In my ASUS mobo only the USB3 ports needed drivers, you tried putting your pen drive in the USB 2 ports?

Yeah, doesn't pick it up. Strangely though my keyboard and mouse worked in the USB ports without drivers. Just took around 10 minutes to detect it. Left my pendrive in for half hour though and got nothing come up in my computer but the light did come on on the pendrive.
