Catch all email address for potential spam - Anyone else do this?

I wouldn't put that much effort in. My Gmail account filters the spam quite well and any that do make it through, I just hit the "report spam" button.

Spam email doesn't annoy me much at all.

This. Gmail is great at filtering. My wife has an old Hotmail account, I needed an old email from it so logged in, and was greeted with page after page of phishing and spam emails. Quite scary really, if an older (not technologically literate) person uses Hotmail they're bound to get caught out eventually.

I think he meant online shops. Can't remember the last time someone at Curry's asked me for my email address :p
This is a problem in store too now. Always at Argos they ask for your email as nonchalantly as asking for payment. When you ask why they look perplexed as to why you didn't just comply and give them your address.

^Halfords do it too, "to send you a digital receipt in case you lose the physical one" is the line they give.

I have a Spam catcher e-mail which gets about 2-5 per day at most and my "real" account only gets one in very rarely. For most "obvious" spam stuff that'd I'd never use IRL I just made up one and get stuff sent to "[email protected]", that poor account must get a fair amount of Spam I'd guess :D
