Are they all going to ming like this, with the weird nose

The rear is very tightly packed (some good pics in the mag). They are all going to look horrendous with those front noses though.

Alright....so the front end mings, hard. Doesn't mean it won't be a step forward for the team.
I agree. The car doesn't look that bad really. The worst angle is the 3/4 view which is the big shot in the mag. From the front/side it's fine. It's only getting the stick because it's the first one we've seen. I'm pretty sure from the spy shots of the Ferrari, it has a very similar nose.

I'm looking forward to Caterham scoring some points this year. In fact, I may even stick a cheeky £10 on it :D

Oh eck.. Front wing/nose mings hard! No magazine here Duke :( placed the Subscription 6days ago, called them up and they said it can take up to ten days to come through. I won't even get this months issue it will be next months! Grrr

It's already looking like a year of ugly cars. I'm really hoping Caterham take a big step forward this year. Some tidy drivers, Red Bull transmission systems and the Renault engine will all hopefully put them among the established teams this year.

At first it doesn't appear aerodynamic to have a sharp ridge and man that's ugly. I do wonder if it generates a little more downforce than a smooth transition to a higher nose? They must have calculated that. Perhaps someone can link the new rule that is dictating these nose changes?

an explanation from Scarbs :)

And I tihnk if you were to look from the tip of the nose into the drivers eyes its one flat plane. It's just the sides of the monocoque that are raised to house suspension parts just like the RB 5 & 6 and to a lesser visual extent the RB7. It's more visible now because the front of the nose has to be below a certain height.

why the heck did they come up with this?? who ever thought that was a good idea should be shot. end of.

As much as I would like to **** off a frankly ugly as hell car, I would like to think that a team full of experts who's life is designing fast cars probably know more about what works than a forum with a few enthusiasts. :)
