A lot may be from if they are scared, but they make really over the top (and often hilarious) reactions to the smallest things. Clap your hands when one is asleep nearby and if you photographed it at the right moment, you'd get something like these (not that i'm suggesting you do, just they are easily spooked).

One which is obvious is the "invisible motorbike" cat. Its clearly wandered along and seen itself in the mirror, and thinking it was an enemy has leaped into a funny pose. Someone must have caught it at just the right moment

Haha I only recently found out about cats and tape, I tried it on mine on there backs and side etc and I was in absolute stitches!!!!!!!

Only did it once or twice though they looked horrified and I don't like upsetting them.
