Cats > Dogs: Proof

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Look at them wittle puppies... me wants.. me wants.. just dont want it to turn into that big thing...

I remember about 10 years ago my Mum got back home after taking the dogs for a walk. She'd been walking with a friend from down the road who came back to the house for coffee. The dogs (four in total) went upstairs and there was an almightly sound followed by four dogs running downstairs, through the kitchen and into the garden with a very angry cat in hot pursuit.

They learned that waking a sleeping cat isn't a good idea.

I'm just questioning why the owner was either trying to upset the cat by having puppies run over to it or alternatively get the puppies to be attacked by the cat.

Sure the cat didn't seem too worried but the puppies only wanted a game so hardly a threat as yet :)

If those puppies are going to a home which already has a cat, having encountered one early in life and not being scared or bolshey enough to try and kiss it with its teeth will be a good thing ;). Its called socialising :)

I know about socialising pets :) I've had both cats and dogs but I'd let the puppies experience meeting the cat in their own time and on their own terms rather than trying to encourage them all to come over to the cat at once(which is sounded like to me) potentially scaring or even scarring one or other of the animals depending on the viciousness.

Anyway I'll stop reading too much into it now and sorry for the digression :)

From the sound the cat was making towards the end it seems to me like it was crapping itself. The puppies just didn't know how to approach the cat, probably not having encountered one before. It's not like the cat was hissing and lunging for the puppies, scaring them away, they were just cautious.
