Cats :(

Problem is, they're only doing it on the driveway (which is all soft gravel :( ). I would use a motion detector-sprayer device but I don't fancy getting soaked every morning and evening, nor would general pedestrians.

I like the idea of deterents like orange peel or fake snakes, is there any truth to these?

Change the surface of your driveway tbh - soft gravel = litter tray

Get that spray stuff someone mentioned further up. That's what my nextdoor neighbour did when they were having trouble with local cats. You can put it on gravel and it really works.

yeah orange peel does work, try peeling an orange near a cat and it runs a mile! my parents cat doesn't let you near it if you smell of orange.

Lemon juice works well, buy a bottle and pour it around your property, the smell is supposed to drive them away.

You can also buy cat pepper that can be used to keep them away.

Best bet, pop into your local pet shop and speak to them about it, they will have a few suggestions for you!

Apparently cats hate snakes and although they are very intelligent they are not clever enough to realise dangerous snakes don't live in the UK. Therefore, buy some toy snakes, the bigger the better, and put them near your driveway, when they see them they will bugger off and crap on someone else's snake free driveway.

My gf's cat and snake are like boosom buddies: The cat sits next to the snake tank watching it like a hawk. The snake purposefully comes out of hiding when the cat is there and slides along the glass taunting the cat (it's quite awesome to watch).

I don't think they actually like each other. In fact I think given the chance they'd both start scrapping. Snakes are no deterant for a cat :P

I had a neighbour who owned two cats, but was also a really keen gardener. He went to great lengths to make his flowerbeds cat proof so his own cats went and pooped in everyone else's gardens.

Then we got a cat and it went and pooped in his flowerbeds anyway. Mwahahaha.

Got rid of one cat by leaving treats out for a week, then on the last day put some insanity sauce in the middle. Never came back :) Thought it would have smelled it but the meat had gone.. LOL
