I've been insulating and boarding our loft and got to one end and noticed some of the bedroom wall which has a partition against it had some really rubbish looking insulation squares behind it, whereas on the same wall but the other side of a window was full of fibrous insulation. I emailed our plasterer who did the work and he basically said "yes the one on the left hand side is dri cem because of the damp you had. i would have used it on the right as well. but wickes ran out that moring i went there so i used celtex. i told your misses this that mornig."
Yes, spelling isn't his strong point either. What is celtex and is it as crap as it looks? They're so thin and loose compared to the gap that when I touched one to see what the hell it was it fell down the cavity and it's now at the bottom, leaving a bit un-insulated gap at the top.
Either way you can fit an arm down behind the partition from the loft so if it is rubbish hopefully I can run some more loft stuff down with it, but just after advice.
