just wondering if there are any rules or recommendations for what the CCC Gaming 3D settings should be on?

Is it best to leave them all to "use application settings", so that the game applies all the shiny parts, or are better graphics got by setting all CCC settings to max as well as game settings.

I notice that if all CCC settings are set to max, this can have a drastic effect on FPS in some games..or even artifacting (if i understand what artifacting is) so generally i set them all to use application settings, but am i now reducing/missing out on improved graphics / under using my GPU or does the game just add them anyway (if using max settings)?

If i should be using CCC settings, any ideas what would be the best for a 6950 2GB? or what setting people here find best?

This is what i use and have found it gives good results my settings are as follows -

AA - Use application settings and also have the morphological filtering ticked

Antistropic filtering - use application settings

Tesselation - Use application settings

Catalyst AI - Highest quality and also have "Enable Surface Format Optimization" ticked

Wait for verticval refresh - Always at performance unless you have screen tearing issues.

Anti-Aliasing Mode - Always at quality unless it causes fps problems

OpenGL Settings - Unticked unless using V-Sync
