Is there any free CD burning software available.

I'd like to convert wav mp3 too.

It's for an old tape my aunty recorded to CD for me

Your Aunty never recorded it. Your Aunty would have put it in MP3 format and sent you the CD already through the post.

...Just teasing I used CDBurnerXP back in the days and to convert it I used online conversion utilities.

The last time I tried CD BurnerXP, it caused Malwarebytes to grumble, although I have used it previously and it did the job well.

Sourced an alternative which is still supported today - Anyburn

ashampoo has a dvd burning software that's free...I use that as it serves its purpose...

My wife recently found a holdall full of DVDs and CDs I had ripped back in the day - must have been hundreds of hours work there lol

I would also recommend Ashampoo Burning Studio.

They do have different free versions:
