I'm looking for ideas on what to do with my CD Changer. I lent my car to my dad some time ago because he was shifting some bulky stuff that wouldn't fit in his saloon, so he took my Leon. In the process he seems to have damaged the changer so that the top cover won't close. It's a Sony Xplode thing that connects in to the oem HU. What are my options from here? Here's what I do/don't want:

Do Want:
To either stay with OEM or go with something that looks like it might be OEM or looks like a tasteful upgrade.

Reasonably priced - Depends on what the option is. Don't want spend more than £150 on a HU, but would happily break that for some sort of OEM nav.

Plug and Play. I'm going to sort it myself, so I don't want to rip out half the interior. A direct replacement HU or changer or some gadget that will pop in where the changer did would be good.

Don't Want:
Halfords Tat

Tat

Expensive things

Amps/bass bins or new speakers

Bling, of any kind

Thanks,

It sounds like you don't want to change much on the dash side of things so i would suggest trying to find a similar changer to what you have. You will be limited to the changers compatible with your OEM headunit though. What type of connection is it? I know some of the old sony changers simply use phonos.
