Show me your musically knowledge, ive posted this on another forum i frequent and the folk over on that forum arent doing very well..

So i thought id stick it up here, in this gallery are 25 CD front covers from albums i own, ive cloned out the artist and album names where necessary.

How many can you guys correctly identify?

This is my first post in this section, so i hope your game for this kind of thing, if not sorry.

Oh wow... that's tough... or I'm old... or most likely both :D

The only two I know for definite without resorting to cheagling are:

3: Coldplay - X & Y
5: ZZ Top - Eliminator

The last three in particular are damn familiar, but can I put names to them? Can I nadgers. Pitiful.

I foresee much self-kicking in the near future :D Not to mention knowing Coldplay immediately. Ew. That's my credibility down the toilet...

Perhaps I'm being too literal, but is number 8 "Presidents Of The United States Of America - Peaches"?

EDIT: Heh, yeah, I was being too literal :o Also, that's the last time I Google for "peaches" with SafeSearch off :D

7) franz ferdinand -you could have it so much better
8) stranglers peaches (best of)

that's me done and of course they were the easy ones. i don't even like any of them apart from the stranglers and i still knew what they were.

I have honestly never even heard of this 'Simon Webbe' of whom you speak. Should have thought of The Stranglers, mind. Bah!

Can someone hurry up and get 23? It's bugging the hell out of me. Thanks in advance, yours etc etc...

14) Idlewild - The Remote Part
19) Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts

#17 looks like a portrait of Mark Knopfler, but as far as I'm aware, (unless I'm missing CD's in my collection) Dire Straits have never released an album with just his face on the front, and neither has Knopfler on his solo career.

Nice work, ill let this run another 12hours and then post the answers, i know it can get annoying if you get bugged by one.

Everything so far is right, but, there are no Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler covers :p
 
Damn damn, isnt it just the way, i dont use my webspace for anything in months and its fine, then when i finally stick something on it, it dies...

Ill fire an email off to the host see if they can kick it back into life.

--> That seems to have done the trick, can anyone confirm its working again please.
