Hi.
Can anyone recommend me a good CD player?
Im not sure what im looking for tbh.

I would like it to be able to control my iPod, and, have an aux in on the front. MP3 CD compatibility is a must also, obviously.

And what parts do i need to fit said CD player into a Ford? because Fords allways seem to have those silly Fisher Price style radios in them. :p.

Thanks in advance all. :).

Sony GT-410U is a fantastic one, nice and reliable, fits fine and works fine in a ford (used in a fiesta mk7) has a front usb port, which will work fine with your ipod and aux, whats your budget and work ford you got?

Say a maximum of £150. Preferably as cheap as possible though.
Its a 2000/W Focus.
Will i need some sort of adaptor kit, frame & faceplate to fit a standard CD player in a Ford?

You looking for new or used as I'm about to post in the members market tonight with a JVC unit with built in ipod adaptor kit etc. As new basically, and it will be up for a lot cheaper than 150 notes.

Are those the parts that i'll need to fit 3rd party CD players then?
Do i not need some sort of braket to hold the CD player up at the back?

Yep
The facia thing I linked to holds the radio at the back, the pocket bit does that. Best one I could find for fit and OEM looks, and it has a handy but thin pocket. Fairly easy to steal as it just pops out but that's an advantage IMO because if someone wants your radio then they'll get it. the less damage the better.

More than the normal dodgy LED screens that most CD players come with. :p
Although tbh, i'd be ok as long as theres an AUX in on the front, that way im not limited to iPods.

Car audio isn't allowed in MM.
