So, my ceiling in my bedroom just literally fell on my head as I was studying...

This is going to be a nice fun job to fix. Any builders or the like able to give me a rough figure of prices?

Protip - If you hear cracking, don't look up. Just get out of the room!

all the ceiling? or just part of it? Do you have any damp problems?

Same happened to me a couple of years ago in uni. Roof was cacked up and there was a damp patch just above my desk. Luckily my laptop wasn't on it when it all came down in the night!

OK, got a picture up.
There was a leak at the other end of the room the other day but it stopped. Assume it just went into the cavity instead. However, when it came down there wasn't any water - Slighty musky smell which suggests there has been damp on it but it isn't soaking or anything.

Now very concerned about ceilings in adjoining rooms!

lol, happened to me b4 too, dodgy roofers where changing the tiles and c*cked it up, so had a face full of plaster at 6am, woke up to hear a crack just as the missus dived out of bed :/

Is house rented or what?

:D Must....breath!

You're a 21 year old student yet 'own' the flat?

Sorry, my dad owns it - but I live in it for free. He's said that it's basically mine, but he won't put my name on the deeds until I'm older as he thinks I'll end up selling it to follow some ridiculous dream...He's a sensible bloke.
