How likely would it be to have a connected earth in my ceiling roses?
The house was rewired 7 or 8 years ago.
I know I could get up and have a look but I don't fancy stacking chairs especially on top of the stairs.

I found some jamjar lamps and they need an earth since they are not double shielded.

Thanks, just thought the earth to the rose would run from the switch, so I can have a look but how would I check that it is wired to the fuse box.

it's seems the rewire wasn't planned out well as the light in my sons room is on the same circuit as the kitchen downstairs and the fusebox is labeled downstairs lights and upstairs lights, I found that out when changing the bulb.

Should be a cpc (earth) running through the whole circuit. With a Earth at each point.
