Hmm that score seems ok @ 2.4Ghz? Can you run a 3DMark 06 with it clocked at 3.4Ghz or something like that to compare

Showing that its obviously not bottlenecking the GTS. Looks very promising for these chips. Fingers crossed they clock like nutters..!!

the 3dmark06 cpu scores are similar to my x2 3800 @ 2.5ghz so they seem on par with the K8 chips, pretty shocking for a celery :O

Promising scores there. Looking forward to seeing these in Retail form. £25-35 and Intel has basically covered all areas of the market, from budget to top end.

For reference, when I compared my 2.4GHz Athlon 64 X2 Toledo with someone elses 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo 4mb Conroe ages ago, they scored 1,852 and 2,101 respectively in 3dmark06 CPU test.

ofcourse you get the chips from Intel, but how come you have them? Do you have to sign up for some testing thingy? do you work for intel?

I’d like to test the new yorkfield QX9650, would be gutted if Intel just gave me a Celeron to test!
Beggars can’t be chooses, so in that case I would accept whatever they gave me if it was free!
