Cellshock?

10th Anniversary is better than those Crucials, seriously. If you want guaranteed speed, get the CellShocks :)

Part of the reason why im not very keen on going for the anniversary stiff is the 5300 rating, i know i can overclock it easily to 1000mhz +.

But im thinking in the sense that it will take more to overclock the crucial stuff so in theory generating slightly more heat but if i was to go with 6400 RAM it would only need one nice overclock and it will be at 1000mhz in no time :)

Agree Disagree :) :( lol

The Crucial or Cellshock pc6400 stuff?

The new Crucial pc6400 is probably the exact same chips as its pc5300 stuff.

Go for the CellShock, it at least guarantees you your speed you are after.

Gibbo was on about getting some Team Xtreems in, these are also top quality :)

the new crucial stuff is using Micron D9GMH
so it will be on par with the cellshock pc6400

An interesting theory, unfortunately it's balls. :p

Hehe, doesn't quite work that way :p

Either the crucial 10th anniversary, cellshock or team ram will serve you well all great performers and all similarly priced. I opted for the crucial and havn't looked back, no one seems disapointed with any of these 3 kits :)

Any module running at the same speed with the same voltage will put out roughly the same amount of heat. Memory chips on the modules themselves are rated on speed, but some can just reach higher speeds, but doesn't mean to say they will run cooler than a lower rated module.
