Central Heating/Hot Water controller (programmer) replacement

Afternoon all,

I've currently got a Landis & Gyr RWB-XP programmer which controls my central heating and hot water. The issue I have with this is that it only has 2 programs, 1 & 2, with a start & finish time for each program. so it's currently set to come on at 7:00am and off at 8:30am (Program 1) and then on again at 4:30pm and off at 8pm (program 2).

The current way it works is that you can select it to come on once or twice a day for a combination of CH/HW. Once a day would turn it on at 7:00am and off at 8pm, twice a day turns it on/off for each distinct program. You cant also differentiate between HW/CH with different times.

Can anyone recommend a new programmer which would allow separate timetables to be put in place for the HW/CH, so I can run them at different times, and potentially also put in say a weekly cycle to change the times for the weekend?

I think the drayton ones on screwfix let you set multiple times

maybe someone else can help further though
 
Good question. The system in total is an Ideal Classic boiler, linked to a pump and 3 way valve, expansion tank in the loft for CH and hot water fed from separate cold water tank in the loft. (I've already cut all cold water taps across to mains fed, and just kept the tank for the filling the hot water tank, I was going to move to a combi boiler but with a little girl now in the household and baths every night I think the hot water tank is handier).

Might have known I should have kept my gob shut though, I think it must have heard me and thrown a hissy fit, was testing out by turning things on/off on the programmer and the bleedin 3 way valve actuator has stuck and is clicking. Guess I need to fix that first! It's a CMV322 with DVA3 actuator. Hopefully its just a simple swap of the actuator which is demountable.
 
3 port head is an easy fit, as long as your competent enough :) And the timer mentioned in an earlier post above (from screw fix) 'should' fit straight onto the mounting plate of your old timer.
 
Cheers Folks. I think i'll take a look at the Siemens one's first, and google a few reviews. Hoping the 3 port actuator just needs swapping over, it's been playing up for a while now where you could have each (HW/CH) on separately but if they came on together then even when the heating reached temp and should have clicked off it stayed on. (the wife loved it as the house was sub-tropical!!) There are a few teeth missing off the actuator so it may have been slipping. I swapped out the whole valve last time, but don't want to drain the whole system if I can help it as I only did that a few months ago for an extension with new radiator.
