I've confused myself thinking about this, so what are the correct usages of center/centre in the UK.

My original thinking was...

Centre = UK
Center = US

But there seems to be a train of thought that in the UK...

Centre = A gathering place (eg. sports center)
Center = The middle of an area

So....help me OcUK, you're my only hope.

I'm constantly getting told off by VMware for referring to VirtualCenter as VirtualCentre in product documentation.
I know it's a name and as such should be spelled with the "er" but I don't care.

Although we mock the Americans, apparently it was the popular way of spelling when they left England, we went all french afterwards. Atleast thats what yanks tell me. :p

The Z thing is worse. anything with ized on the end. Usualy S in English and ofcourse harbor and harbour.

Actually, Americans can't make up their minds about centre/center. I see it used both ways all over the place. We're all nuts.

Check vs. cheque is another one I see used both ways. I mean, c'mon - American Express Travelers Cheques. :p
